Tree Wisdom
One breath a day.
Respiratory rate of .0007 breaths per minute
Lifespan: 50-3500 years
To the outer human eye: living in isolation
To the inner composting eye: an intertwining community extending a hundred feet.
Inhaling.
Leaves turning upward to the sun.
Sunbathing.
Apricating.
Exhaling.
Leaves soften under the moonlit sky.
Giving in to gravity.
Relaxing.
Patient, steady, enduring and alive.
If you dig, you see another world entirely.
Why are we so afraid of digging in deep..
Thinking there is only isolation there?
When truly the internal landscape is beckoning.
To forge a new rooted community.
